Description: This is the first ever Fraternal Order of Eagles (The Eagles as the locals call it)) location that we visited. Located on Highway 98 in Foley, it is pretty easy to drive by and miss this location, so stick it in your maps app. The club is located in a small strip mall type building and it is open to the public. You will need to sign a register at the door.
As I mentioned the club is a little on the smaller size and with pretty active activities and patrons they tend to get a little full. On the days we went there the bar was almost empty with just a few local regulars hanging out.
The bartender was very attentive and we received our drinks quickly. She also made time to talk with us in between her duties and made sure to make us feel welcome. Same with the regulars. They were quick to speak with you and very friendly.
The drinks were not expensive and made with just the right balance of liquor. There is a large counter at the back of the club where the locals constantly bring in food to share. It is always great to sample folks home cooking. The food is either free or sometimes they ask for a donation to help with fundraising.
The Fraternal Order of the Eagles is an international non-profit organization uniting fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice, and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and promoting peace, prosperity, gladness. I have witnessed that they raise a lot of money to help with Diabetes research.
Bottom Line: The Eagles is a fun local club to visit. The people are friendly, The service is good and the pricing is very reasonable. Don't let the Private Club part scare you away. After signing in, you are just like everyone else. Sheila and I recommend you stop by and give them a try.
